Campluss (“we”, “our”, “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes the types of information we collect, how we use and share it, and your choices and rights regarding your data. It applies to Campluss and all related services. By using the platform, you agree to this policy.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide directly
When you create an account, place an order, book a ride, or contact us, we collect: your full name, email address, phone number, billing and payment details (processed securely via our payment partners — we do not store raw card numbers), delivery preferences and payment details, and any communications you send us.
Information collected automatically
When you visit our website we automatically collect: IP address and approximate location, browser type and version, device identifiers, pages visited and time spent, referring URLs, and order and ride interaction data. We use cookies and similar technologies for this — see our Cookie section below.
Information from third parties
If you sign in via Google or another OAuth provider, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from that provider. Vendors and drivers you order from or ride with may share fulfilment-related information such as confirmation numbers or delivery records with us.
2. How We Use Your Information
To operate the platform
We use your information to process and manage orders and rides, issue confirmations and receipts, facilitate communication between you and vendors and drivers, process payments and refunds, and provide customer support.
To personalise your experience
We use browsing behaviour and order history to show relevant vendor and product recommendations, send personalized service recommendations, and remember your preferences across sessions.
For safety and legal compliance
We may use your information to detect and prevent fraud, verify your identity where required, comply with applicable laws and regulations in Bangladesh, and respond to lawful requests from government authorities.
For communications
With your consent, we send order and ride confirmations, order reminders, and — where opted in — promotional emails about new vendors and offers. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time via the link in any email or through your account settings.
5. Data Retention
Retention periods
We retain account, order, and ride records for as long as your account is active and for a minimum of 7 years thereafter to comply with tax, accounting, and commerce regulations in Bangladesh. We delete or anonymise data that is no longer required.
Deletion requests
You may request deletion of your account and personal data at any time by emailing us at support@campluss.vercel.app. We will action deletion within 30 days, subject to any legal retention obligations.
6. Your Rights
Access and portability
You have the right to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you in a structured, machine-readable format.
Correction
You can update your name, email, phone number, and other profile details directly in your account settings at any time.
Objection and restriction
You may object to or ask us to restrict processing of your personal data where you believe we have no legitimate basis to continue doing so.
Withdrawal of consent
Where processing is based on your consent (e.g. marketing emails), you may withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.
How to exercise your rights
Email us at support@campluss.vercel.app with the subject line 'Privacy Request'. We will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
7. Security
How we protect your data
We implement industry-standard security measures including TLS encryption in transit, encrypted storage for sensitive fields, access controls limiting data to authorised personnel, and regular security reviews. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security but we take all reasonable precautions.
8. International Transfers
Cross-border data flows
Campluss is operated from Bangladesh. Your data may be processed in countries where our service providers operate — including the United States, the European Economic Area, and South Asia. We ensure appropriate safeguards (standard contractual clauses or equivalent) are in place for any such transfers.
9. Children's Privacy
Age requirement
Our platform is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.
10. Changes to This Policy
How we notify you
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email and by posting a prominent notice on the platform. The 'Effective Date' at the top of this page will always reflect the date of the most recent revision. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
